Peggy and I were talking this morning and I said that I was not hearing anything about the blog for today. She reminded me that we were so filled with gratitude this weekend that we were overwhelmed. I turned 80 in March and Peggy does in August so my daughter Michele and Daughter-in-law Kim decided to have a party for us in June. It was Saturday night at a local restaurant, with a sit-down dinner and open bar. They invited an amazing amount of people and I think over 50 showed up!!! They had prepared a slide show of our lives together and played 50’s music all night. What a blessing!!
Dear friends came in from all around, one family drove 4 hours to attend and one had just gotten in from the Jubilee in London. All six of our granddaughters come into town and three great-grands. Gratitude! We were and still are overwhelmed. God is so good.
Every day I thank God for placing me here to serve Him, and family has been our focus since we came here. I highly recommend it. Even though the third generation is moving around (one is even going to LA) we still try to have a birthday party each month to celebrate their lives, where those that can come in do, to celebrate each other.
Tonight’s meeting will be a bit different, one of our members purchased a DVD of the movie, “2000 Mules” and we decided to watch it together tonight and you are invited to join us at 7:00, but please call as I need to arrange seating.
We will be fasting and praying tomorrow and I will try to focus on America and Ukraine! I love you with Agape love, Jim
