As I prepare to join you in fasting and praying tomorrow I was seeking God in His Word and came across a prayer that Moses prayed. I was blessed in light of where the world is now. I will offer excerpts here but keep in mind that this was Moses! “You turn man to destruction, and say, Return, O children of men. For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night. You carry them away like a flood; they are like a sleep. In the morning they are like grass which grows up: in the morning it flourishes and grows up; in the evening it is cut down and withers.
Return, O Lord! How long? And have compassion on Your servants.
Let Your work appear to Your servants, and Your Glory to their children.” This is from Psalm 90.
When I think about the number of children we have willingly murdered and now are willing to kill them at birth, I shudder to think how long we have left.
As Moses says, “So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom…” What the world needs now is wisdom!
Please join with me once again and let’s pray together 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, in the past we have left out the circumstances in 13 that provoked this prayer and it seems to me that 13 is where we are living.
For the Tuesday night Bible study we are not meeting tonight, it is next week.
