Tomorrow

As I prayed this morning and contemplated our day of fasting and prayer tomorrow I was reminded that we need to pray for the Church.  I was reminded of a story I heard somewhere that told of a young man, a deacons son, who had a personal experience with the Holy Spirit.  He went to church full of zeal and life for the Master and started to shout and praise God, manifesting the joy of the Lord; he disturbed the old saints in the church.  The other deacons heard the grumbling and approached his father asking him to make the boy understand that he needed to wait until he was “established” before he was allowed to manifest those things.  His father explained it to the boy and they started for home after the service.  The horse which was pulling their carriage stopped in the middle of the road as they neared home.  He would not go forward or backward and the father asked the son if he knew what was wrong.  The young man replied, “ father, I think the horse has gotten established.”  Do you think the boy had received the message?  It seems to me as I visit churches in my community that they have become established and forgotten what someone said long ago.  “Unless we pass on what we receive, we will lose it.”  And if we don’t lose it, it will become stagnate.  I ask you to join me tomorrow in praying for the Church universal and for individual churches to open up to the power of the Holy Spirit and the manifestation of God’s power and I believe that we will see the next great revival that we all desire to experience.  Let go and let God!!!! Bless you!
