Prayer and fasting

Reminder for our prayer and fasting tomorrow caused me to think about just how great is our God.  The more I study His word the more I am blown away by His provision for one such as I.  Yesterday my friend David Livingston and I traveled the island putting up posters for the upcoming concert on March 8th.  He started asking me about my past and how I came to be with the Lord.  Haven’t told my life story in a long time so as we enjoyed a frosty together after our work I gave him a synopsis and it brought back many memories for which I have been forgiven and delivered, thank God.  So with that on my mind this morning I was reading in Psalm 119 and in verse 65 – 72 I was reminded of His goodness and wanted to share it here.  “You have dealt well with Your servant, O Lord, according to Your word.  Teach me good judgment and knowledge, for I believe Your commandments.  Before I was afflicted (disciplined) I went astray, but now I keep Your word.  You are good, and do good;  teach me Your statutes.  The proud have forged a lie against me, but I will keep Your precepts with my whole heart.  Their heart is as fat (dull) as grease, but I delight in Your law.  It is good for me that I have been afflicted, (disciplined), that I may learn Your statutes.  The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver.”  Meditate on that!

What a great reminder of our God and His love for us.  As we pray and fast tomorrow please remember 1 John 4:7-8.  Bless you.

LIFE does not meet tonight, please help us get the word out on the concert.
