Frustration

“As many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God…born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13

Peggy and I had a long discussion today about several issues as she perceived that I was getting frustrated in my prayer life.  She was right as usual.  Just this morning I was asking God how do I believe more? “ All the impossibility is with us when we measure God by the limitations of our unbelief”..Smith Wigglesworth.  She used the story of how Abraham waited another 25 years for a son after the promise in the face of the evidence that he was too old and so was Sarah.  “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God,” (Romans 10:17).  That verse reminds me to ask if we are spending enough time in the Word?  One of the missions of LIFE Ministries is to give away Bibles.  Lately, I have not found a venue to do so, and that troubles me as I know it is a mandate from God.  As I said last week, patience is not my long suit which causes me frustration.  As I was gently reminded this morning, things do not move on my timetable but His.  Maybe I am only preaching to myself today but I want to encourage us all to stay the course, keep praying, keep believing, and stay in the Word.  As we fast together tomorrow please remember this scripture from Matthew 4:4.

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” May He bless you and keep you, Jim

LIFE does not meet tonight.
