Feasting at a table spread for me

Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity.  For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.  Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.  Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:1-4)

As I have said before we are one body, from one blood, therefore it is foolishness for people to come to their Communion table and think that their table is the only table.  Didn’t Jesus say that His brothers and sisters were those who hear and obey the Word of God? (Luke 8:21).  I heard a story once about the old days in New York when bare lines were laid to carry power from the dam to light the towns.  One day the power went out and the repairman after following the line found a cat had gotten in the wires and stopped the power.  So for us, something as small as an impure thought or an act can cut off the power from heaven to the believer. May it never be!

I admit that I have been having trouble keeping my thoughts clear of late with the many attempts to divide our nation (I guess I would fail compared to Stephen).  The blatant attacks on our Christian community are amazing but I must admit we have not been lead into the colosseum as yet.  We must remember from whence cometh our power and remain connected at all costs, feeding on His faithfulness and expect the desires of our hearts.  As we fast and pray tomorrow I trust we will remember the country, our leaders, and especially our brothers and sisters in those cities that are under siege.

LIFE does not meet tonight, be blessed!
